Hi guys, I got an offer from x and i discussed that with my current. At 1st current said they can only give 30% increment. I said I can't stay with this cause i got 70% and expect at least 50%(as the 70% included VP and the current org don't have vp, they have bonus). Then they said they can do max 45%. I really wanted to stay here so I said okay to current. Then now hr called me and said they are matching the offer(no vp). What should I make out of it? What made them change their mind?

We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles. Our team got a new manager last week. Today, he asked all of us to share our calendars with him. Reason he gave: he wants to forward some of our meetings to a new colleague so that she can join and learn.
What do you think about this? I find it intrusive and controlling. He could just ask us to invite her to calls.
