How does someone become a partner at the big 4?
I mean I have friends that are executive directors and senior managers... but partners?
I got an offer from Big 4 firm for 85K at senior level. Is that what I should be expecting. Also my current firm keep telling me that the work will be too much and I won’t be able to handle it. I just want to learn and grow and develop. Is the work unreasonable. I don’t mind working 70 hour weeks to get shit done during busy season at all!

Is 7 weeks too early to start thinking I may have made a huge mistake in switching to my current gig? I left the last place because it was overr toxic and terrible W/L balance, for one that seemed to be more “fun” and more realistic hours, only to find that I’ve now been working 12 -14 hours a day and just drowning and feeling like I cannot catch up or catch my breath. Everyone is in the same boat here which is why I’m so overwhelmed so quickly with no support. Is this an immediate red flag?

Ladies! I’m up for partner election next year, will most likely happen if I push but I’m so burnt out after all these years working at this pace that I can’t imagine doing this for another year. I’m also unhappy as this job leaves me with NO time to lead a normal balanced life and take care of myself. But then I’m also torn about passing up on the Partner election. In a deep conundrum that is eating me up! How do I resolve the dilemma?
