Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

Depends entirely on the company and benefits package. I pay about $6,000 with spouse and two kids.
Satire oh young one
I just left EY and was paying about $6k as well for spouse and 2 kids. New employer it’s about $1.8k. That said there’s trade offs with benefits EY provided that I no longer have (wellness fund, etc.)
It can be closer to $1000 a month at some employers. My husband is a teacher, and his family plan would be $950 a month. Takes some people's whole checks! Thankful for my job and my good insurance!
Yes it's crazy. Most employees at his school have spouses who work, and their children are almost always on the spouses' insurance instead.
Really depends on the company and what is offered. We've always asked for that information when entertaining job offers because it's part of comp. When my husband was leaving big 4 to go to a regional firm, the insurance plan at the regional firm wasn't as good, so I calculated the difference (about $2K/year) and he was able to get his offer increased by that amount to cover it. Then when he left there and went to work for a health insurance company, we made out great because the health insurance there is awesome.
