Don’t count on HR to help an employee with ANYTHING with regard to complaints. They’re there to help the company. Just put all of your energy into going elsewhere. It’s a wasted effort to try to fight whatever the complaint may be. HR doesn’t care. I know this sounds harsh but I’m speaking from experience and don’t want you wasting any more time than necessary. There’s better places out there to work. Just focus on that. I wish you well in your journey!
HR is there to protect the company. People think they're there to help the employees. They are not. Please keep that in mind when interacting with them. They are not your friend and they are not on your side.
Is anything you’re reporting illegal, against handbook policy, etc? If after months, knowing you have things documented if they’re only monitoring, I’d say they don’t consider what you have a threat. They’d be putting themselves at legal risk if you’ve got some real dirt and they’re not doing anything.
HR is usually not effective in protecting workers. I wouldn’t give their view of the strength of your complaint any weight. They often don’t know the law, and are there to protect the company.
I would consult with a plaintiff side employment lawyer for advice. You may need to speak to several before you find someone you can trust and who is available.
Keep a copy of these records at home, so if you get locked out of the office/work system, you won’t lose the evidence.
