I recently applied to the Content Designer, 2023 Graduate remote role at Atlassian and I'd appreciate it if I could get a referral.
Here are some details to aid in your decision-making:
- Last summer, I worked at Google as a UX Content Design Intern.
- I am currently in a grad program at
NYU and will graduate in Spring 2023.
- Before graduate school, I spent 3+ years as a Copywriter in Advertising.
I'd really appreciate any recommendation I can get at this time.
Happy Thursday y’all

Does this Friday feel like a Monday to anyone else?

For awareness OP, Huron just had their first round of layoffs today.
I worked at Huron from 2014 to 2018 and we had 3 or 4 rounds of layoffs. Every time the stock price got too bad we cut people.
Huron has been a really great place for me to work and I’ve met a ton of amazing people here! In general, I’m very supportive of our leadership team and have a lot of faith in their ability to lead us successfully. I think the culture is solid and relatively friendly to transition into (always room for improvement!). As stated above, pay is not top of the range, but respectable. Lastly, I’m actually just extremely proud of the work I’ve done with all of my clients here. There is no half-ass crest a strategy and run away, I feel like our name means a ton to us and our work demonstrates really solid value for our clients.
I’m sure there are negative experiences as well, but overall I’ve been super happy here for 8+ years, I’ve been accommodated through several career path and focus area shifts, I have a great support structure, I personally feel very well compensated, so my experience is positive! Best of luck in your job search!!
Hey! Recommend highly for work-life balance, diversity and inclusion, and growth / development. Caveats would be that pay is not the highest (Glassdoor bands are fairly accurate) and a loyalty-based reward system (length of time at Huron is paramount for promotions).
Measured in addition to loyalty by your engagement's supervisor, followed by any sales or internal work feedback.
I plan to stick around a few more years, the people are really what keep me here. Fantastic community.
What are they recruiting for?
Prior to Huron, I was at Accenture. The big difference with Huron is its size. Since it is smaller, you have a chance to know everyone (from executive leadership down). As a result, it feels more like a family that actually cares about you as a person.
I’ve been here for a year and have nothing negative to say about the company. Comp may be a bit lower but the people make up for it.
Everyone has said it, but the people and culture make up for everything. We’re also starting to do some really unique and forward thinking projects, which excites me more. I would consider the recruiting email if you’re interested.
