Husband received a job offer and the background check is requiring last two years worth of W2s now. This is not a job in the finance industry and I am checking here to see if anyone has heard of this? The job only pays $15 an hour and this seems invasive for no apparent reason.

I'm thinking about looking for a smaller company (couple hundred to couple thousand employees) in the Dallas area and looking to find an amazing culture.

I recently sign a lease. The apartment will put my security deposit into an interest-bearing account and requires me to fill out a form W9. I will join EY this June and just wondering if this is ok in terms of the independence rule. I guess the apartment will put my deposit in some sort of funds. Anyone with EY has experience? Reading the independence brochure, looks like it does not specify something related to this scenario but just wanted to confirm . TIA!
