I (32M) did a maintenance Engineer role with an FMCG organisation, and after 7 years, I felt I was at a point where I was not learning anything new. The fact that the salary wasn't keeping pace with my growing responsibilities made me want to leave the company. I left for the UK and pursued an MSc in Mechanical Engineering. I just returned to my country, and something bizarre is happening .... I am overqualified for 75% of the roles lack management skills for the 25%. Has anyone been here??

Today I got the job offer and they are offering me 54k. My current company is making me 50k with tons of benefits which is why I am asking for 60k.

I couldn’t get an internship while in school. I have a BS in ME and projects from school under my belt. I’ve also passed the FE exam.
