I always get the "how do you handle pressure" question. I want to say, "poorly, but with style." Is there an approved way to sound real without tanking the answer?

If you have a hand bag fiddle about within it as they ask stupid questions like that until you find your toy pistol lay it either out on the counter or just let them see just how unhinged you can get when pushed over the edge asking how you deal with pressure.

Hah I'd love to be able to answer this honestly too. Instead I talk about prioritizing, planning, and delegating. I don't see the value in this question. Do interviewers really expect you to say "I completely fall apart"? I don't know, maybe I'm missing something, I just can't figure out how this is effective at weeding out candidates when no one who actually struggles with pressure is ever going to admit to it.

Exactly. Everyone gives the ‘I prioritize and stay organized’ answer. No one’s admitting they fall apart, so the question doesn’t really reveal much.

Hahah this made me laugh because it truly is a great answer. I always say that I work well under pressure because I do. I hate that I am that way but it is the truth.

I always end up doing my best work under pressure even though I wish I wasn’t built that way. But hey, at least it gets the job done!

I feel like even if you answer this, it does not measure the true potential of a candidate. I guess you should say that you handle it well even though you don't lol.
