Bringing in your own clients can take time. You should start beating the business development drum hard. In the meantime, are you not getting the work because there is none or is the work coming in to the firm but is not coming to to you? If the practice area is having a downturn, you may need to expand your skills or look at corporate jobs that aren't in-house. If it is a you problem, you might try working your network to find a firm where you are a better fit. Wishing you good luck
