Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

Usually people get bolder and bolder as they get to know you. This usually means that if someone treats you a bit rudely or carelessly during the interview, its likely that with time and confidence things will actually get worse. Same goes for the opposite, although its not always the case and sometimes a good manager can become a bad manager by a couple of wrong decisions.. its always hard to judge someone in the timespan of an interview
You might want to ask to speak with cross functional teams to get a better perspective. Ask them about a time they disagreed with the HM and what it was like. Peel that onion 20 different ways.
Ask them how they respond to making mistakes.. as weird as it sounds. I asked this in my one interview and it was received well. A good manager will address that in the early stages of a new job, mistakes are common, sometimes encouraged even, because it at least you show you are trying. Everything needs to be treated as a learning opportunity. On the other hand, an older manager in my interview responded that it was unacceptable lol. In my mind I was like…I def don’t want to work for this guy.
