Bump!
I’m considering the same! 👀
Its so confusing. My current position is not a-lot either; this new place might be more labor intensive…
Also, would it be unprofessional to speak to this new company to contract me as a consultant if I do decide to keep my old job? I have no idea how that goes but please suggest any advice/input!
Does the new position align with your goals? On your resume it will be how you describe your functions so manage up* your new role (if u take it)
If you can reword the title a bit on your resume i dont think that matters much
I personally think that if it’s better for you and your family, then do what u want. If the time ever comes for you to speak to it in a future interview when they ask why you left management for a lower lever job you simply say, “I made the best decision for me and my family at the time.” They cannot fault you for that. You cannot erase the experience you have already gained in management and you can easily go back at a later time.
