I am interested in hearing from current and FORMER employees either positive or negative feedback relating to the Disability Leave Services Team. Do you feel your rights were violated in anyway? Were you treated with respect? Were you forced into a leave you did not apply for?

I don’t have any current experience at Amazon however, I started to disclose while I was at EY and it’s turned into a nightmare.

like

really sorry to hear that, hope you're okay :(

Is this for Amazon? It's in the general tech bowl so just checking.

I don't have personal experience, but a friend of mine who worked their said their stance on a lot of shady stuff was "if it's not documented it never happened."

Yikes! that sounds rough.

Forced leave is an interesting topic. Was it paid?

I think this is a super important topic so I hope you get more info and do something great with it

I am in a relationship for 3.5 years now. .
We both love each other. Used to enjoy the company emotionally and physically. We took it bit slow as it was 1st relationship for both of us.
For initial years we tried various stuff on bed and we both enjoyed it thoroughly.
And finally last year after 2-2.5 years of dating when we were comfortable enough, we decided to have sex.

But, after many unsuccessful attempts we discover that she might have medical condition vaginismus

Anyone has experience negotiating a medical bill with MGH. I got some blood work done and was sent a bill of 1800. The bill was 2700 but negotiated rate with my insurance is 1800. I got the exact same blood work done in NC 2 years back and it cost me <200. My insurance said i should have gone to labcorp. I am new to Boston and didn't know this. MGH says prices are higher as we are a teaching hospital. It's just open loot and does not make sense. Anyone dealt with a similar situation.

How do you handle it when your kid can’t go to school/daycare? Daycare options in my area are extremely limited, and the one are in is pretty good. They are very strict about kids not being there when they are sick, which I appreciate and mostly agree with. Except that the rules are along the lines of if your kid has a temperature over 100, they cannot come in until they’ve been under 100 for 72 hours. According to every doctor I’ve spoke to, 100 isn’t even considered a fever. (See rest below)

Am I crazy for strongly considering doing this? My Mom decided to sell her house and move down here near me in a tier 2 city in terms of cost. Housing options for just herself with her medical conditions just don't see very great. The catch is I'll need to sell my house too...cont

So being a new member as Sr.Data Analyst I sometimes have to report to analyst. Considering the fact that he has been part of the team for past 1 year and sometimes he sounds like lead as he is leading some project.
On other hand my manager is continuously asking me take lead in project and try to reduce dependency on that analyst.
