3 yoe DS in tier 2 tech company ops, accidental tech lead ->
burnt out/bored, quit, was lazy doing part time CS prereq classes for a year ->
breadth oriented masters in CS (finishing in spring)

Targeting PM roles cause people work comes easy to me (vs applied science/MLE coding) and ops cost center budgets suck. Doing formal CS just cause wanted to learn, fill in gaps.

Hey everyone - I could do with some advice. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I am having a hard time getting interview calls. I am trying to pivot from consulting to the industry and targeting project/program management roles. I have been doing this work for 7+ years now (total YOE 12 years) so certainly have the right skillset. I have tried a couple of referrals too but that didn’t help either. I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? Can you shut the person down without starting a spat?
