(1/2) I started a new job less than a month ago at a large firm with a significant pay increase. I work remotely- which is a special arrangement. They paid for my travel to their headquarters for in-person training. After interacting with my manager and some of the attorneys, I feel like I made a mistake. Manager is demeaning and rude. A bunch of the attorneys dropped not so subtle hints that people who work from home are causing all kinds of problems. I don’t know what to do.

Would it be practical to look for an apartment 10-15 kms away if the office location is Marathahalli?
Location of choice would be hebbal, thanisandra, avalahalli and other similar ones.
Would it make sense to reside in such locations and travel to work?
Would like to hear from folk who are/have done the above?

I am interviewing for a compliance role in Trading and Supply. I am only knowledgeable on AML risk but the other compliance risks I do not have a clue about like licensing, privacy, market abuse etc. For example, what does licensing pertain to. Is that the trader’s licensing??

Can I still work as a telemarketer even though I have a noticeable accent? People don't say they can't understand me but they seem relieved when they get to talk to somebody else. My boss acts like I'm not very good at the job and I think it's because some customers think I am an "outsider," for lack of a better term. I just want to fit in.

I just wanted to reach out and let you all know I understand how tired and beat down we all feel at this point in the year. I’m feeling it too. I also know exactly how students can try us. What I’m working on every day though is to see my kids as God does… not the kids that know how to push buttons and drive me crazy, but as the beautiful lives they are, all deserving of the best we can give them every day.
