I am on bench since 35+ days and didn’t’ got allocated to any project & now I got a hearing summon from HR team and appointed a HR manager to defend or clarify because I didn’t report to base location. But in this week I will be getting allocated to project of my choice location but next week they are calling to base location for this hearing.
Due to health reasons I wasn’t able to report to base location. The manager who will allocate me is saying there is delays in onboarding.

What should I reasonably expect from a junior?

I manage a junior developer that's been with the company for about 18 months. I end up providing them of TON of support. I need to give them extremely detailed instructions or they fail. For bugs, I need to point them to a specific function that's causing the bug. For new features, I'm basically writing their method signatures and defining their test cases.

I've tried asking them to do more on their own, but when I do, they fail spectacularly.

One of my friend was asked to resign because she got pregnant . They specifically told her that they have strict policies and need complete commitment and you are not fit for the current role owing to your health. They have a king rule from management side and treat their employees as daily wage labor . Very bad HR and management
