Holiday breaks are nuts!! Kids are crazy, teachers are sick and out, nobody is where they should be and nobody is on their usual schedule. Beginning of the year doesn’t hold a candle to this mayhem!!
The day before any holiday (especially spring break) are crazy! You’re off already? I’m jealous!
I’m jealous, too. I have to work through Friday.

Second: Last day before a break. They go NUTS.
At least for me, we have a carnival/festival on the last day of school. So we play movies all day, the students get a chance to get out their energy, and then summer starts. So last day of school is usually chill for me.

Every day is crazy! First day of school for me ( school swk) is okay other than in kd, and when you lose a kid on the bus. 😬.
My sped students who have behavior problems are all ready melting down, either they’re overstimulated or they’re struggling like w parents divorce, familial stressors, etc. Today was hard and it’s just going to get worse as the week goes on. End of the yr is crazy but good- it’s a 1/2 day w a 4th grade clap out so that grade leaves early if there’s a parent participating. It’s a total fluff day. Thats elementary- in my experience.
The last day before a break and the last day of school are about the same for me.
The first day of school has always been the craziest in my opinion. So many things go wrong and so much adjusting to be done. Usually takes me a good 3 weeks before I feel comfortable and hit my stride. The last day before a break is busy but exciting anticipating the time off. The last day of school is usually the most stress free for me - I just try to make it through the day and don't let much bother me.
Definitely first day of school for me.
