What are some signs you’ve seen that you were about to be laid off and then it actually happened?

Do you take the current economy into consideration when receiving job offers? For example you receive a good offer from a company like Meta/TikTok but are hesitant because they could be laying off soon or rescind an offer versus a lower offer at a more traditional and stable company that tends to be less reactionary with regards to layoffs? Not my current scenario but just curious. I would like to make a move from current employer but this economy has me spooked.

I have received an offer from Wissen for the client Morgan Stanley at Mumbai.. I was recently laid off from Publicis Sapient.... There is news that Morgan Stanley is planning to lay off people in the coming weeks. Is it good to consider this offer? Are there any layoffs going at wissen?

Due to layoffs almost half a year ago , and now a complete overhaul of all management up to my CTO - I’m the only one left on my team with institutional knowledge of our barely documented bandaid filled environment.

How would one go about asking for a pay raise since we have been vastly underpaid and neglected by the company?

I got laid off in April, and I’ve been doing ok, but starting to crack. Feel like I’m becoming super irrelevant and like my life isn’t moving forward. A lot of anxiety the last couple days, followed by exhaustion.

My temp contract has been extended. I’m relieved to be able to pay the bills, but after giving 70-80 shots a day, I literally dream about giving vaccines almost every night! Struggling to keep positive about finding a new permanent job - I was laid off at the end of April, have applied to over 60 jobs, had 6 interviews, and no offers. I can’t go back to chain retail - it damn near broke me in my 20’s, and it’s much worse now.

How does background check work? I omit a less than 2 months experience (was fired due to conflict with the boss) in my cv. Should I fill this info in the background check form too? Is it lying if I don’t reveal it? But if I reveal will I be possible to lose the offer?

I recently cleared all rounds of interview for Mindtree and waiting for the offer letter. However, since Mindtree has been recently acquired by LTI, is there any layoff expected to happen in Mindtree?

Hi all, currently have 2 YOE in Info Assurance at a company that deals with PII and PHI daily. For the future I am torn between trying to get into a more forensics focused role or continuing this track into a security architect role. Either way I would like to move into a bigger company (possibly FAANG or somewhere like AbbVie). Any advice on which path I should take (forensics or architecture) and what my next seps should be (certs etc.). Any and all input is welcome. Thanks in advance

I had given Accenture interview on 5th March and on the same day got an email that I cleared the round then salary discussion also happened. But then they didn't release the offer. In the portal status went to " owing to business reasons we foresee some delay in processing your candidature". Also then after multiple followups got an update from HR that they don't have any requirements for the position. Now it's been more than a month what should I do ? Any suggestions would definitely help.
