I am pretty sure I have been blacklisted from being hired in my area. I am excellent at what I do ( home care) but if I don't like the agency after 6 months, I leave which makes my resume look like I'm a job hopper. I keep encountering former supervisors that I've worked with at various other places ( looks like they are doing the same thing?) But I just can't get hired. There are no disciplinary actions on my license nor have I ever been fired, I live in a smaller community.

That does sound like it would make things difficult. If given the chance, definitely try to explain things and show what is different or working in your favor for that current job.

That’s crazy. Why would that happen?

wow,so stay away from places that you are familar with boss-unless you trust them-They recently closed my company and most nurses i worked with and therapist went with company where my old boss was- I did not as -I could not deal with her.Their have been alot of people reaching out to me currently on Unemployment, already hired at job but not really the one for me -Im still looking,as I need health insurance asap.

Comforting others:
When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? Should I start saying this for the purposes of providing comfort only??
