I am tired of being overweight and not able to look my best. This periodic depression pushes me to drink alcohol and eat desserts, which waters all the exercise and diet I did during the week. I am single in my late 30s and want to settle down soon. Thinking of getting on zepbound and getting off this cycle. Asking my community if someone else went this path and it helped them. I want a masculine physic. Please share your story.

Do it!! I’ve been struggling with weight since my consulting days. My weight goes up and down by 50+ lbs over the past 10 years. I went on wegovy and it’s been 8 months now and I was able to slowly lose 60 lbs without feeling like I’m forcing myself to lose weight. Highly recommend giving it a try. Good luck!

Regardless if you go for exercise and diet, medicine, surgical options, or several of those - you MUST deal with the underlying depression and any other things that are the root cause. You can’t just address symptoms. Wishing you the best ❤️

Your post does not describe the approved medical need for GLP-1s. Yes a healthy BMI is important and reduces a lot of risks like heart attacks. But you’re talking about how you want a “masculine” body.

It sounds like there’s a lot to process. Don’t expect a once weekly shot to fix everything.

Therapy helps a lot to reframe your outlook.

I’m taking Zepbound, antidepressants, and therapy. Start your heal your mind first if you can

Hi just saw this thread I can understand the concern but I feel that you may be mistaking BMI and fat. Males tend to gather fat in the abdomen. Females in the hips and buttocks. Muscle weighs more than fat so It is very possible to be lifting and increasing your weight but still be in much better shape. A novice lifter should begin with 1/6 th to 1/8 th of the body weight. 2 days on and 1 day off. Good luck.

Hey there! I feel for you - I was not overweight, but similar lifestyle and wanted to get in better shape. I wasn’t happy with the way I looked and there were some factors at work / private life that pushed me towards anxiety/stress/depression. It really helped me to have a colleague that would work out with me and hold me accountable. People are usually more willing to get new gym/run buddies than one would think. One year one, I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been and the cycle doesn’t repeat itself anymore… Message me if you want! :)

I grew up in a nuclear family away from extended relatives who were never really close. Parents were either emotionally unavailable or distant. All I've wanted for myself was a big loving family to call my own.. my parents are unaccepting of my sexuality & my partners family is also quite fucked up so she's isn't super close to them either. Has anyone ever been in a mostly platonic relationship? I don’t like to label myself much, but I don’t really like intimacy and don’t really like romance. Some people would say I’m asexual/aromantic, but unless that too is a spectrum, I don’t think I fit squarely into that group. As I get older, I’m realizing I’m feeling very lonely. I feel like I’ve lost myself since joining McK. My whole world has become about work.
