I am so sorry to hear that. I have been looking for a new job for 8 months and haven't gotten anything either. Best you can do is keep putting one foot in front of the other. Hang in there and keep applying.
Call and say you’re following up for your scheduled interview at *insert time and day here*
Spit some back and forth with the receptionist, Que your inevitable comment: “since I’m not on the appointment list, I can reschedule for *time/day*”
Walk in with your résumé print out when said time and day comes
(preferably the next day)

You can’t get a job until you apply for one and they accept you. You have no chance of that if you don’t keep applying. If it’s something you want, you’ve got to go for it
Keep at it mate! I’ve gone through loads of rejections and just managed to get somewhere really prestigious and competitive! You can do it, it’s hard but patience and persistence are key 😁

Application fatigue is real. When you wait months just to hear no, it drains you. What helps me is separating identity from outcome. A rejection is data about fit and timing, not your overall value. If you need a short reset before applying again, take it. Then treat the next one like a fresh attempt, not a continuation of the last.

I get that feeling rejection wears you down even when you know it’s not personal. Sometimes the best thing is to take a short break to recharge, then approach the next application with fresh energy. Each application is a new chance, and persistence pays off even when it feels exhausting.
