PwC India Hi folks,
I graduated with Master studies in business at Singapore, and recently moved to India. I am currently looking for a consultant role in strategy functions at big4 in India. Here in India, most of the roles in MC & strategy advisory fills through referrals and campus recruitment, and not posting on the websites. I’d like to connect with people at big4 strategy functions for referrals and to know more about the firms operations
Thanks!

Nope, but if you figure it out, please let me know 😂
HA! For sure!
Both “Difficult Conversations” and “Crucial Conversations” tackle this subject well.
Also, “survival of the savvy” is a good book for getting a framework for handling internal politics.
Overall, I realized that it is not an option in the real world to avoid or be blind to politics - unless you are working completely alone and have literally nobody else to report to you or to report to. So if you don’t play the game, it will play you.
Thanks for the book advise! I'll definitely check it out!
Do all the boring stuff but then give an alternative that’s more your style. Point out how it’s better by comparing it to the competition instead of justifying why it’s better. You’ll look like you are making creative collective decisions all while really rocking the boat. So, continue to rock the boat but blame it on the waves.
Good stuff! Thanks!
When I worked in-house the only way to get ahead was to make friends with the right people and embrace the corporate culture. I couldn’t do either so I left.
Yeah I feel that. :/
People who manage ( Managers ) or Lead ( leaders ) , People, money, clients, takes risks etc would reach at the top and earn more. Any other task single handed, the creative task unfortunately falls into this would never fetch the position or incentives like the manager.
You can either create ( new stuffs, enjoy the process but not earn much )
or
Manage ( boring task, important, and earn a lot ).
Exception to all this is when you start on your own and take bigger risk
( at-least try once for an year , am sure you must have accumulated that many paid leaves)
