I aspired to be a mathematician when I was younger and get into stem and all that and here I am as a can't do teach person and I'm just feeling like I'm behind in life but maybe you can tell me it's worth it to be a teacher and help others become that which I'm not?

Wow. “Can’t do, teach?” Read the room.

It's about defining and pursuing your purpose. For you, if you loved numbers and research more than people, then I agree you took the wrong fork in the road. If you wanted to make a difference in the world, yep you should've zigged when you zagged. If you want to see young adults learn valuable lessons that will help them and quite possibly help others, you are in the perfect place. If you want to change the world one student at a time, there's no other place you can be.

I’m confused by your post. You want to teach STEM but you’re “a can’t do teach person.” What does that mean. Your title suggests you are teaching Algebra at the high school level. It seems like you already are teaching a part of STEM. Can you explain further?

Hey FishBowl Friends, so I’m currently trying to break into tech sales/FinTech and I feel that due to my previous work history, I might not look like the ideal candidate on paper but I’m an extremely fast learner and very coachable.
