Is it normal for companies to schedule more rounds of interviews with you after the on-site?
Was recently placed in a highly technical position. I’ve been trying to understand how parts are linked for past 5 weeks but I’m still struggling. I don’t want to quit cont....
Does anyone here hold a non-CFA designation (CFP, CAIA, FRM etc.) and what kind of role/position do you have?
I accepted an offer at Deloitte and start in three weeks. I am also in processes at another Big 4 and MBB. If I get substantial better offers from them, would it be crazy to leave D after a couple months? Start dates for other potential offers are Jan 3.
I want to quit n work for my audit client. Do I just ask to roll off and explain why? I can't interview till I'm off it but don't want to get pped pissed since I need support from him for the new role
Hi all, how much does referral matter if I m applying for a data related summer internship at MBB? And at FAANG? Had 2 years of work experience going to graduate school
Fish, I have an interview tomorrow for my dream job. I'm not feeling like myself and I'm super nervous! Any advice? I just really hope I don't blow it 😖
My boss and mentor was recently laid off with the cuts made last week, and I have a gut feeling I’m next. I’ve tried my best to stay positive with my current agency, but it’s time to move on. I need a change of pace. Understand just about every shop is on a hiring freeze, but anyone need a strategist?
Partners, what would be a typical monthly pension check be for MBB / Big 4? All firms welcome.
Hi FB! I’m looking to fill a Sr. Account Director role. It’s a boutique agency based in NYC, but remote is ok as we’re all remote at the moment. Luxury car experience is a plus!! Please DM me if you’re interested or know anyone who might be!
Experience managing a team-member for 8 months now, but only have 1.6 yrs exp at Booz out of UG. Should I mention the managing role (1 bullet) in resume if applying to Level 2 at other firms? Or is...
Generalist🐠at MBB: do corp dev roles at FAANG, or operational VC/PE roles, care that you were a “generalist” when exiting? I’ve been approached for data analytics roles at MBB (some specialized), but everyone tells me to go generalist when starting....
Currently at 135k base comp, should hit manager by EOY. Should I take a tech program manager position at FB for 200k? What’s better for long term career growth? I hear once you’re at FB, navigating to new teams, projects, and roles is possible.
Was laid off in April by midsize and have had few interviews in following months. Working with various recruiters yet still no traction. Didn’t go to top tier law school and graduated with 3.2 gpa yet have 3 years experience and being lawyer was 2nd career. Recently working with a boutique for per diem work who gave offer which is a lot lower than prior role (over $40k). Role would have no billables and practically 50% split—what are your thoughts?
I just recently made manager at EY (this month) and a recruiter has reached out to me regarding an associate role at Kearney. When I asked about a manager role they mentioned that I hadn’t been a manager long enough to qualify me for that role. Is it fair to have to drop in rank when making the transition from Big4 to somewhere like Kearney? Also what’s Kearney like as place to work at?
Anyone know what I should. Expect for an senior internal audit role at Boeing (completely remote position).
So I’m planning to apply for MS fall 2023 intake and I found an educational consultant who gives free admission services and are doing so this year due to the pandemic. I had registered with them but they’re yet to start their services. I’m now thinking of hiring a bigger consultant for few of my target schools as I’m sceptical if this one is enough. Thoughts?
Looking at a job posting and it requires 1550 billable hours for a litigation paralegal position. Can anyone give me a rough estimate as to how many work hours that will likely translate to per week? (My current job does not use billable hours)
How do you turn in your lesson plans?
I’ve been off my last billable project for about a month, but my firm has had me putting in full days to work on important internal initiatives and business development that are being taken very seriously, and that include deadlines, etc. very similar to the work I’d do while on a project. Is it likely I’ll be laid off if this continues for another couple of months? How long do you think my firm might let me stay employed like this if they continue to have this much non-billable work for me?
I know the UK pays less but I am seeing differences of $80-100k for Advisory M at one of the Big 4. Why in the world are salaries so low? And don’t say healthcare. My healthcare is like $140/month for a PPO w low deductible. Plus taxes are less here. Makes the thought of a potential move over there hard :/
Accepted at Darden with scholarship, but have interviews at Tuck, Fuqua, Johnson, and Ross. (Maybe Wharton) Applied to Darden EA so I will need to put down a deposit prior to knowing about others. Is it worth putting down the deposit to secure something in case I don’t get into any others? My thinking is Darden with scholarship + interviews at others should be a good sign for the others, but curious if others think potentially losing a couple grand in the long run is worth the security.
Having 4 offers, need suggestion to make the right decision. I avoided mentioning full org name. one of the big4- 21 LPA for M position captive IB bank in India -19 for VP position Fintech product org: 18.5 for senior con IT consulting firm: 25 for senior con All I know is, Captive and big4 has good year end pay and IT consulting firm would provide onsite opportunities. TIA
Hey folks, Help me choose Swiggy as Sr SDET or Amazon as QAE-1. Compensation is almost same, so do not want to consider that as decision factor. But based on other factors like position offered, wlb and learning opportunities It would help if you could support your answers with some points.
Not sure if this has been posted on fishbowl yet. CDC guidelines for decontamination and reusing face masks. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/ppe-strategy/decontamination-reuse-respirators.html Tldr I will be using a microwave steam bag to decontaminate my masks
My sister is undergrad senior living by herself with health issues (gaining weight, etc) and borderline depression. She recognizes weight gain & mental health. Parents aren’t helpful. I offer (cont’d)
How are firms handling the economic downturn in terms of billable hour requirements for associates? Are annual billable requirements being updated or mitigated in any way? Curious to see how other firms are handling this issue, and also afraid of not being able to take any time off until 2021 😳
Hearing a lot of talk about Strategy& lately. Curious about the culture and hours. Which verticals are notoriously rough? Which are known as great?
My utilization is below 60 percent and it's majority of internal projects and trainings but have good snapshots(reviews) should I still be concerned ?
Anybody anti-teacher’s union and pro-police union? How do you hold these beliefs simultaneously?
Really? Y’all didn’t know that it was him? Well, I hope you know. Learn a lesson in democracy, yet?
Which company is a better career option IBM or LTI? Considering work culture, annual hike, perks, employee value etc. Getting an internal project in IBM..no project is decided yet for LTI. **Brand value is not of much importance. Give your valuavle feedback please.
Moved to Atlanta about a year ago and haven’t been able to build my social circle yet. With Covid it hasn’t helped as well. Indian born desi, I am F and happily married! Would love to meet some like minded individuals. Looking forward to making some friends :)
I have a call with recruiter today. Do I bring up my immigration status (H1B) and the need for sponsorship during the initial phone screen?
How many folks use Microsoft Teams? We started using it shortly after the shutdown in March and it’s been a godsend for us.
