I currently work remotely and will resign soon, I need to return the work laptop but I live abroad. Any ideas what is the safest way to return it?

I’ve had to return work equipment from abroad before! I’d recommend contacting your HR or IT department for guidance on the safest way to ship it back. They might have a preferred courier or shipping instructions. Make sure to pack it securely and use tracking for peace of mind.

When I left a remote job in the past (although not abroad), the firm sent me a box through their preferred courier to have it returned. I’m sure the company would rather foot the bill for secure shipping versus potentially lose the laptop.

When you resign that will no doubt come up. Just do whatever they advise. Most likely they'll send you a box via DHL or whoever they use and you'll just have to put it in and call to have it picked up.

Are they not sending you boxe and a return label to saely return the laptop? Normally when they are requesting their equipment back, they will send you everything you need to safely return it. I haven't heard of a place that doesn't do that.

If I have two 401ks (current job and previous job), does the 19k limit apply to both of them together or 19k each?

If I were to rollover a pension lump sum into one of those 401ks, is counted towards the $19k limit? Or is rollover classified differently and I could still continue to contribute to my current 401k?

Is AVP a good title for 9 YOE or VP ?
