I don't know how this happened today, but I'm enjoying it. Our 6th Graders are on a field trip, so I have 4 6th graders. To make it better, the 8th Graders are also on their field trip, and I only have about 10 left behind. Whoosh-4 classes with just a handful of students! It has been enjoyable so far, I am having a great time with the few students, and catching up on grading some papers. Have you ever had a day with just a few students? What do you do with those few extra minutes of freedom?

I have had “that day”. One year we were able to leave some students behind (no permission slip, discipline infractions), and I volunteered to stay with them. When they heard I was the teacher for the day, EVERY student got a parent in to sign the slip OR stayed home! I had ZERO students for a four hour block of time! I prepped materials, graded and sorted papers, and packed a section of the classroom! Most importantly, I DID NOT ANSWER THE PHONE😈 because admin clearly bumped their collective heads if they THOUGHT I was going to fill in for ANYONE!

You make a good point. A lot of the teachers let the kids who stay behind play games or watch a movie. Other teachers made the kids work because they felt that it wasn't fair to make the kids work while others were having a good time.

I haven't received offer letter even after waiting for more than 16 days, i have given more than 10 interviews till now and have 4 offers but this one is taking a lot time giving a high rise to my expectations but am losing hope from this..can anyone suggest how much time usually it takes to roll out letter...please.
