I feel like all product leadership should have to spend several months or a year+ as PM. This would hopefully eliminate the distance between the PM's roadmap and leadership's plan. Where I work we spend 80% of the time corresponding and compromising to try and make everything work which is a waste of everyone's time when we could be on the same page from day dot.

Thoughts on calendar being double booked? What are the etiquettes to be followed. Often people double book and it feels like “ my meeting is more important that whatever you have booked time for in yours”. If both meetings are same urgency/importance - what’s the best approach ? Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor! I ended cutting my hand on an exacto knife and there was no first aid! Is this normal?
