The after hours work is not an issue for me. I have to sit through a lot of meetings each week, but there's still ample time for me to get most of my to-do list knocked out. I don't sweat it if I can't. Unless there's a critical deadline, I'm not sticking around the office past 5. Protect your time people.
I recognized that I can get most of my daily tasks done if I have three hours of uninterrupted, focused time. So I started scheduling myself three hour blocks where I'm not available. Obviously there is a little bit of flexibility, but my colleagues and management know that I'm pretty much off the grid for that time, because otherwise I was constantly falling behind.
Maybe you should talk to your boss and get their input on the situation. Could be that a lot of your coworkers are feeling the same and there needs to be a wider shift in your org.
yes agreed, meetings adhoc work and scrums. after that actual work and AI work starts
Yep same. It’s hard to get my work done without staying till 9 each night or working weekends

I think we’ve all needed to go through this to realize it doesn’t matter at the end of the day so you may as well not work extra hours. Don’t go to meetings you’re not needed in. Visualize your tasks in the pockets you have. You can also do some in a way that queues them up for the next day
