It depends on ur perf and company's perf.. Both have factors calculated per 100..
So, say, u did well for the year and u were given 90/100, and say Ford's perf factor was 110/100.. Then, then final variable payout will be = 90% of (110% of 5L) = 495k ..
So, if you take the history of last 5 yrs, u can definitely expect 80/100 as company's perf factor (aka BPF).. The final payout depends on ur performance..
Last year (for 2024), the BPF was 69/100, the previous year, it was 85/100 (I guess!), etc etc.

If u can reval ur yoe and thr offered CTC, then maybe we can suggest something..
Can't do anything even if u don't like it, it's the companys policy of 15-20% as variable pay, ...
Not every year u get 100% pay, it really depends on your performance and company profit..
So if u don't want to risk the 5L you can move with next offer,
There are times you can just get 20-30% too if your performance is under the expectations, and 100-150% if ur above expectations
