I would say something. Even if it’s telling my boss that the person deserves more recognition and he can make the correction.
The VERY least you should do is:
1. Talk to that person and tell them what you feel about it. It's good that they know that you do think they were hard done by. Otherwise they're pretty alone out there and probably think you agree with the opposite side.
2. Raise it with your manager that you believe they've overlooked this person (don't focus on intention just an observation), and suggest that they do something about it.
Coach
You should correct it if you can, you don't want to be denied of such a spotlight moment either.
This happened to me (my boss gave credit for my work to a coworker he favors). It meant the world to me that my coworker publicly corrected my boss on the call and gave me credit.
Stay positive , nominate the heroic person for kudos if you can, and tell everyone who the carrier / heroic person is and what they did that was good.
