I’d recommend Postgres as well, it’s reasonably fast and quite inexpensive, and usually supported by most Data Viz/BI tools. We’re currently migrating a client from Tableau to Power BI on top of Postgres + Redshift (for the bigger data volumes) and it’s been remarkably smooth so far. You’ll also want an ETL solution that eases model creation and deployment - I can think of a few depending on your specific needs
Depends on the size of the company and business needs. Do you need to support a BI tool? Are you going to be needing to do a lot of moving data for marketing?
I’ve seen manufacturing companies lean towards Postgres or redshift due to the high volume smaller transaction. So for that I’d lean towards snowflake because they handle streaming data better than bigquery.
You just won’t be able to stand up really strong bi on top of postgres or redshift.
If you want to try and do etl + prep for bi I’d recommend checking out y42. They have some really powerful tech
If you give some more context I’ll give you some recommendations
