I hate my job and the people I work with, so I am looking for a new job. Well I had an interview this morning, and I froze. I haven't had to do an interview in a while AND I FROZE omg. Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.

I live in NYC and recently started interviewing for positions in VA. On average, the offers are higher than the ones I’ve received in NY. I have 11 years of experience, worked for Google, AOL and a VC firm. Does tech companies in Northern VA provide higher comps on average vs NYC?

I regret not applying to Harvard. I never thought I’d get into a top school and then got into wharton with a 100k fellowship - which changed my entire perspective. It sucks thinking “what if…”. I just didn’t have the confidence and thought wharton was a reach so why bother with H/S 🙃 hope this inspires someone to just shoot their shot - you never know

Currently interviewing for a nontechnical role (final round is getting scheduled rn) and I see there’s a new job posting for a different role that I might be more excited by, for the same/associated team. What do I do?? Email my recruiter saying I want to be considered? Apply? How does going for two roles work? The referral from the original job I’m interviewing for has expired fwiw.

Interviewing for a Google job. Currently an M2 at Meta. On the cusp of a D1 - what’s the equivalent level for D1 at Google? In Austin - so what salary should I be asking for and RSUs? Currently make base $250k plus 25% bonus and started Meta with 200k in stock. The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)
