Go the family office route
What do accountants in family offices do? I’m so ignorant in this area.
As a general concept, remote jobs are turning into rarities. They'll still exist, and some people will be grandfathered in to continue working remotely. But trying to find a new remote job can be tough as a lot of organizations have required people to get back into their cubicles. The remote work revolution business writers were going on about a few years ago seems to have fizzled out.
I know they are rare, but I don't need fully remote. I'd be fine with 50% or as needed. We went from 90% remote for over 5 yrs to 100% RTO. No transitional period or so, having the remote flexibility definitely would makes life a bit easier to manage than the rigidness of no option at all!.
