I have a case study in 30 minutes and I tried to do the one I got from the same company last year for practice and literally could not solve it with unlimited time and help from my ex coworker (he couldn't do it either). Is there literally any point in wasting 3 hours of my life doing it or should I email them and say don't send it to me because I don't want to waste anyone's time or humiliate myself by sending it back unsolved? For context, it's a valuation case.

I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?
