I have a group of students that consistently waste time in class when they’re given work time. Today I told them that if they waste our class time that I would waste their time and have them owe recess. I get that students need recess time as an outlet, but what would the appropriate consequence be other than that? I’ve contacted parents on multiple occasions, I try to use a lot of positive reinforcement but the kids don’t seem to care, Anyone have alternative ideas?

I am due to join pwc IAC very soon. But while verifying my background, they tried calling my ex employer who didn't answer their calls or mails. It was a small firm with no specific HR department.
I forgot to take my relieving letter from him.
They have given me a partial go ahead to join contingent on the fact that i get the document from him.
I tried contacting him over calls and whatsapp but he didn't answer it as i didn't leave on good terms with him.

How do you know when it’s time to get help? I’ve never seen a mental health professional but I just don’t feel like myself lately, a lot of which I think is attributed to quarantine.

Entering my 2nd year as a medical malpractice (insurance) defense litigator. My billables are 2200 per year, even during WFH and COVID while the courts are moving very slowly. Any advice as to what I should look into for an exit? I can’t hit those billables while maintaining my sanity.

I am going through menopause and my Osteoarthritis hurts somedays and that doesn’t work. Any advice how to keep up with my four girls while feeling crummy?!?

Do companies sometimes offer "gifts of appreciation" if you're not selected for a merit increase? My manager randomly called me to let me know I was chosen for the "gift" this year bc of my "hard work & dedication", except now I'm learning other colleagues are receiving actual merits.
