I have an upcoming trip in December with a 5 hour layover in Hamad Int'l (Doha). I don't have status on any airline or alliance. I'm flying economy.

Is it worth paying for a pass to the Al Mourjan business lounge? I looked online and apparently it's $120 per person. Are there better lounges with better prices? Or is the terminal experience sufficient? Never been to Doha but I hear it's an amazing airport.

So, I've realised there's a problem with developers, a lot of them are coders, not engineers. And another issue, is that, companies don't really care about their progression as far as I'm aware, so what did you guys do in your own time to transition from being a coder to an engineer?

Planning a trip to Rome and Naples with day trips to Tivoli and Pompeii. Is 1 week enough? I feel like reading through 3/4 day Rome and 2 day Naples itineraries, the trip seems rushed. I have unlimited PTO but my SO is limited in time (but luckily he can work extra hrs and then use less PTO). I would say max we could do is 1.5 weeks but adding on 3-5 more days seems almost too much? Thoughts? We flew back from Ireland today on Delta. Our connecting flight from JFK at 6:10 was cancelled while we were flying over the Atlantic Ocean, and we were rebooked on a 3:40 instead (2.5 hours earlier) but not notified. I received no email, text or app notification of the flight cancellation or the new flight we were placed on, so we missed it. Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.

Leisure travel is still a bit out of my budget, but I’ve gotten a lot of points from referring friends to my travel credit card by making a post on Facebook. That feels like a once and done opportunity. Does anyone here have tips on getting large amounts of credit card points to use for travel?
