Hi, Is it good to join Salesforce for Technical Consultant role (YOE - 3.2 years) ?
I checked with few of my connections, they saying I will be mostly allocated to Salesforce industries (Vlocity) project. Please suggest about the team structure and work life balance for this role.
and also in future, is it possible to apply for IJP in Salesforce ?
Please provide your thoughts on this.
Thanks

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Sign On Bonus for internal position is a little unusual, tbh.
Relocation varies, but I have seen 20-30% of base salary as a typical range for the assistance with 2-year clawback.
Great Relocation? One-year or less in clawback and grossed up relocation payments so that the net payment to you is the agreed upon amount. The taxes are ugly if they move your home goods.
Speaking from the experience of someone who had a not-so-great relocation package. I had a lump sum of 1k and some discounts with partnered moving companies. The moving companies were extremely expensive and not worth it for me. I wasn’t exactly moving exotic cars and Faberge eggs. That all being said, I really wanted the location and would have done it for nothing.
Right now it seems like relocation pacakges are hard to come by because there are so many people looking for jobs. Might be easier to negotiate a sign-on bonus to be honest with you.
