I’m an application analyst in the midwest for a small CAH. I was hired into this position at $27.15/hr and have now worked here for a year. I’m curious how my salary compares with others working in the midwest. My primary responsibilities are systems/HIE integrations using Meditech, HL7 transfer, SQL report writing, and user administration (just to name a few).

Seeking ideas for boosting morale in an office. What activities or rituals do you implement that are appreciated by your staff? We do lunch almost once a month and even that feels forced. I’m a young(ish) male running a private practice. Been with the group a year and a half and haven’t exactly gelled with some of the older employees. We’ve made tremendous financial improvements but in a meeting last night one of the physicians stated, in front of me, maybe we shouldn’t have hired a young guy to run the practice….I can’t think of a more passive aggressive way to ask someone to leave. Thoughts?
