it happens. headhunter called me about a job at wkny to work on jordan brand in the late 90s. i didn’t even go on the interview because i didn’t think i was good enough, scared shitless to move, etc. i think about it now and again wondering where i’d be now. all i can say is, learn from it but don’t let it act as an obstacle.

Turning down Apple isn’t a bad choice. There are many different divisions. If you’re not in the right one, or in one whose project gets killed then you nay find yourself unemployed very quickly. I’ve known multiple people who worked there for multiple years. Only to leave with spec work that never ran. Not talking low level people either. These were CDs and GCDs at very good shops (CPB and WK). Doesn’t hurt the resume but hard to explain if you don’t have work to show for it..
Someone once offered me a million dollars in cash as long I promised to match those funds myself within 5 years. I was scared I would break that promise so didn't accept.
