You serious? Remote is a million times better. If you don't take the offer, send it my way 😂
I don't understand. Are you not checking your emails while you're working in the office?
I was in this same position three months ago and I picked in office but I had been remote for eight years prior. I hate traffic but I enjoy having people around me again and yes I was always hesitant to be on the chopping block when everything was turning back to in office because I was fully remote in a different state. So for my peace of mind, I’m back in office and somewhat happy about it… lol… I at least got a hybrid position so it’s not as bad!
The only issue I see with accepting remote right now is that it might be rolled back. If the company is fully remote first, that’s different. However, it’s just something to keep in mind. RTO has been happening frequently, and I see that for many people, it didn’t matter what they were initially hired for.
Personally, I'm so much more productive working from home. If you're the type of person that constantly checks their email because they're office is there and computer is on, it takes discipline to follow a work schedule (sign-off and shut down for the night at the end of your working day).
Take the one that pays more. Remote, or in office we are all expendable to the higher ups.
