😲 D1 are you human?

like

D1 you're a terrible person. People with mental disorders cannot help that they were cursed with a disease. It's really sad that you feel they should be rounded up and donated to science. I would challenge you to go out on an outreach program and speak with some of these people. They are real, they have feelings, they need help.

As my name implies, i may be biased but we have safe injection sites with free clean needles for addicts. From a public policy perspective, its harm reduction as well as healthcare cost reduction. Controversial but I think it's so important to allow addicts and mentally ill people to maintain access to health professionals on site.

I'm glad it's just personal. Let's keep it that way eh?

D1- if you had a family member or child who had a mental disorder would you call them a lost cause? Donate them to science? These are real people you are talking about... not sure how you expect to do well in client services with zero empathy

like

D1 schizophrenia often develops later in life. What if your son/daughter/SO developed such a disease... just drop em off at the local human experiment center? Never think of them again?

like

I really hope you never need to rely on someone else... doubt you have many ppl in your life that would be there for you.

Research so far on housing first programs is extremely positive. See my post a couple hours ago for a great example in Albuquerque

Yes. I know, objectively, this is a horrible point of view but this is my personal view on it.

@D1, http://chgs.umn.edu/histories/documentary/hadamar/asocials.html

BCG1, any reasonable person can separate and leave their bad thoughts at home when they're at work. To answer your question, yes I would. If I had a child and found out he was going to be born with incurable mental disorder, I would try to have him aborted or put him up for adoption if I couldn't terminate him lawfully.

😶 😲 😶

I call troll 👹

Yes A1. I don't want to deal with that shit

Steve Bannon has hacked into FB.

Guys, D1 is trolling. Nobody is that disgusting a human being. Don't feed the troll!

Psst. D1 is a troll....

Are there any books or other resources that mid levels/seniors/counsel/partners on here have found helpful for the project management / managing junior attorney aspects of your job?

I am not finding a lot of stuff written for lawyers specifically , but there is a lot directed at “managers” in business generally that I imagine could be applicable.

Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.

How many married professionals with young families are just sticking it out “for the kids”? Marriage is very dead and has been for a while. Young kids 4 and 1. My wife and I don’t fight, but share 0 interests outside of the kids and can’t stand to be around each other. I’m so ready to leave… I just can’t bear the thought of doing it to my children even though another part of me feels like wife and I would both be better parents if our lives were separate. Anyone else done a similar analysis?
