I have worked in Financial Planning and Analysis for a couple of years in expense management. I have loved what I do at work but now I am looking for my next big move. I'm seeking for some advice on which roles in Finance can be high paying opportunities. I am seeking for roles which have client interaction as well as dealing with data. What would be your suggestion? Also, what certification will be required which can help me with this transition?

I got offered a position as a Wealth Management Banking Specialist and was offered $75,000 base pay with a 5% increase after a year. I am working on 8 years experience in the industry, investment licenses, and a bachelor’s degree in financial planning. I feel like this is low. Any thoughts?

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

Does anybody know what the typical salary range is and total comp for someone starting out as an internal or external wholesaler? If you are one of these, can you share about your experience in terms of whether you liked it or not, work life balance, travel, etc?

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.
