I heard this concept where I have to use up my 34 leaves for the mandatory holidays. But in other companies, they are considered as holidays only. Ismt this a weird system? How is this beneficial?

I’ve been married for a while now (5+ years) but feeling completely checked out. My wife has zero conflict resolution skills and can’t control her anxiety, so we constantly bicker if I ever do anything that offends her, and she wants to spend all her time talking about the constantly changing projects she will never start. Is it a bad idea to have a mentor or advisor who isn't a minority? Would it be better to get one that is? There's a woman I would consider asking to be my mentor but she's white and I'm mixed Korean and African American.
