Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Continued: besides being 50 plus in this biz, I’m on a sports team where I’m the oldest. I’m older than some teammates’ parents. This book has helped me reframe that experience too. Now if it were only required reading at agencies....
Yes this. My colleagues who are 40 plus are constantly denigrating themselves and it hurts everyone around them. Just because your senior doesn’t give you a pass to talk about age the way you do FYI other people are over whatever age around you and it’s not sensitive and I’m not buying into it.
Thanks, that's a really great point, and worth remembering and being mindful of.
I’m buying this thank you
Good reco thanks.
I’m 47 and feeling really demoralized right now. I have had a nonstop, steady, lucrative career for over 20 years, then I moved too far from the city (SF) and suddenly no one seems wants a freelance/remote Copywriter. I can’t help but think the ten+ years younger demographic is replacing/replaced me. But I refuse to commute 3-4 hours a day. Feeling very depressed about my age and scared for the future.
Just ordered it. Thanks for the recommendation. Anne Lamott (one of my sources of inspiration) loved it too, apparently. 🙌
