I interviewed at a firm and they said they would like to bring me on but they need some time to align internally (could be weeks or months) since it’s a new area they’re developing. Then yesterday I was laid off from my current job so I’m a bit more in a rush now. What’s the best way to approach this? Do I let them know my situation or just wait otherwise they may lowball me or even see me as less of a qualified candidate after this news?
