Who was around in 2008/2009 at big 4? Specifically in advisory? How were those practices affected during the layoffs? Any insight to ease some of the worry/unknown would be greatly appreciated.

All this talk about firms doing stealth layoffs has me spooked. Any BigLaw firms in Dallas doing this? I’ve noticed some surprising associates leave my firm over the past couple of months and suspect at least some of them were ice-outs…

I love my WFH in PwC India & base location of Kolkata. & the best thing is stability in PwC India, they never lay off!!

Need some advice, I honestly suck at sales and it’s just something that’s effecting my mental health. I have grit and I bang out a bunch of calls but I’m not seeing any fruits of my labor. When someone has a gap (up to 6 months) between a big law job and their first in house application, do you assume they were laid off? Would you advise a candidate to actively share why they took a break, if it wasn’t a lay off?
