I just finished my third round of interview for a position that requires everyone to go in 4 days a week but the office is almost an hour drive for me. However, after interviewing, I found out that the hiring manager is completely remote and in another state. Because of this I don’t feel like it should be necessary for me to go into the office if I did get the offer. Would it be reasonable to ask why the position is hybrid and not completely remote?

I'm thinking of selling my car & cash out some of my 401k to buy a house. My thought is to put down 3.5% for a FHA loan then make a big payment towards the principal to reduce long-term interest.
