I just wanted to share my celebration!. I had 70k in student loans with my first job out of college only making $20hr. I had to make the decision to live with my parents for the last 2 years, and my career was taking me on a roll.. none of which I could share with my parents. I barely let myself experience any joys of life, rent money was just going into my loans and still stayed positive and radiated as much peace and joy as I had to my parents. I made my last payment this month and feel great!

Congratulations OP! Can't wait to get to the point that you're in. You're inspiring me to maybe move in with my parents. It's going to be a bad and idea but maybe it's worth it if it helps you get closer to your goals.

Wow! What a feeling. Proud of you for going through all it took to get here. Thanks for sharing your story.

I am prior military and went to law school. I had a family to take care of while I was a student, hence I went as fast as possible to get to a paycheck, graduating in 2 years, and bypassing the standard summer clerkships. How could I get some experience strictly remote? I am w-2 working as an accountant in healthcare, have passed the bar and am working on my CPA license (studying starts at 3 am, then work FT). I would like to eventually hang a shingle as a tax lawyer, but need experience. TIA!

Say it louder for the ignorant people in the back.

LCSW 50k loan repayment- Has anyone been granted a contract through the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program? I’m interested in applying for the 2 years of full time work as an LCSW but my loans are a bit under 50k so I’m wondering if they would only give me what I need to clear my loans or would I still get 50k as long as I complete my contract ?

If you didn't have to pay off any more of your student loans what would you use the money for instead? I'm stuck between something impractical like a trip somewhere or something I need like a new car lol

Curious to know how much your student loans were when you graduated from your program, how much you’ve paid off so far, and your age. If you have any varying factors too, like kids, income range, etc. Just trying to see if I’m on track or slacking in life. I am 34 yo, i graduated with 95k in student loans, i currently have 85k left and i make 85k in come. I’m also a single mom with two kids. Just praying for 100% student loans forgiveness. Wishful thinking???
