Why Aren’t More Women Taking the Lead in Project Management?
Women make up around a third of the project management population — a figure that hasn’t changed a great deal over the last few years — and they also continue to be largely absent from leadership roles in major projects.

50k more?! Jesus dude take the money and network the hell out of the place before you get laid off.
Yea fuck it. Take it and keep talking to others
I wouldn’t have said this even a year ago, but advertising is so messed up right now and the industry’s future looks so freaking bleak, so grab the most money that you can in the nearest term that you can, and plan an exit strategy.
I once went to an agency for money and it was a soul crushing environment. That said many working with me at the agency did the same and I was surrounded by brilliant people who were all as miserable and felt duped as I was. But they were great for future networking, because we were all eventually laid off but made it in to better/other places.
It’s advertising. Layoffs are rampant and likely going to get worse this year / next. Go to the agency that’s winning the most business.
Take the 50K. Even if it crashes and burns, that puts you in a completely different bracket for your next role after that. What % raise is that over what you’re currently making? That’s the % less time per year it’ll take to reach the same amount earned.
Think of it as an experiment, get in, learn and network all you can, and be prepared to exit if it comes to it, whether through resignation or lay-off.
Make sure you negotiate a decent severance package before you sign
You don't get a severance package if you quit to go somewhere else. You only get severance if you're laid off due to business reasons.
Sounds like you have an offer from anomaly. Avoid like the plague.
50k is a great bump up. Yes that's worth taking to push up to the next level. Can you get an offer and ask for a counter? Underpaid happens naturally after a few years no doubt but that's a decent size gap
50k? And you’re asking for advice?
50k raise?? I’ll take the job if you don’t!
The job request are still open. Go for it! When companies layoff either they bring in freelancers or they rehire at lower salaries. New year! New job!
Just stay so in 25 years as you’re sitting around the house wondering if you can afford to retire one day you can say “I’m so glad I stayed at the agency that let me do such great world-changing work.”
