I know this is an evergreen topic… how do you get to the point where you can develop case frameworks “from scratch” / “first principles”? I keep reading how memorizing frameworks isn’t the way to go but I can’t seem to come up with great frameworks quickly without relying on some high-level archetypes. Any MBBers that felt they were proficient at casing, would really appreciate your input!

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

I've a question on what sections to put on a regular resume. I see some people are using consulting style resume for outside companies as well. Do you think it's a good idea to devide work experience by projets? Or is it better to have "projects highlights" separate from work experience.. something like: intro>functional expertise> project highlights>work experience>education?
