Where do MBB consultants who leave MBB to get a MBA usually end up at post-MBA?

Is an MBA required to get senior leadership roles in Canada? I always find myself wondering if, down the line, I will regret not doing an MBA. However, my peers (with and without MBAs) don’t seem to think MBAs are needed in Canada if you have the right experiences. Would love to hear more opinions on this

Hello Partners, I’m currently a SC at D and started my career here - but went to a third tier MBA school. I have received top ratings throughout my career thus far and it’s my ambition to make it to partner one day. Will the lack of a prestigious MBA deter me ? I’m convinced that the reason some of these firms are so prestigious is because they have intentionally exclusionary recruitment practices. I used to believe that you had to already be rich to get hired at MBB. Now being on the other side of the recruitment process , I really do feel that it rings true. I hate the way we evaluate candidates and decide on who is “high priority” during coffee chats.

Recently I had two rounds of interview with KPMG for a content lead role.

The HR, on call, confirmed that I'd cleared the second round and would schedule an on-shore round when the team was available.

Couple of days later, the HR informs me that the position in on hold and they'll call me if something else comes up.

This felt so wrong. Can't figure out if they hired someone prior and were just messing with me? Can I do something here?

I need some advice. I have some co workers that are really disgruntled and complain about their jobs a lot to me. It really bring me down and makes it hard for me to work because I get constant messages about how much they hate it here. I’m friends with them outside of work so I don’t want to explode on them.
